Department of Civil Engineering organized a scientific Journey to Gaza Projects

Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the club of Engineers has organized scientific journey to wastewater treatment basins and new building of the University of Oma , also visiting  al Nazaz project in  Shijaia and  Arab Company for interlock and ready mix concrete in ​​Beit Hanoun, in order to show students how to make  wastewater treatment in Al-Sheikh Ajlean  and the mechanism of paving roads, how to make Interlock tiles and concrete,

The cruise’s scientific delegation was accompanied by Dr. Nabil Sawalhi – Head of Civil Engineering, and Dr Shafiq Jendiar (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Mohammed Hussein (Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Husam al-Najjar, Dr. Ramadan al-Khatib and the club members and engineering students of the Department.

The journey  began with the area of ​​Sheikh Ajleen to visit the basins of water treatment and know the operations of these basins and capacity. At the end of the tour, Dr. Nabil Sawalhi awarded a certificate of thanks on behalf of the Civil Engineering Department and the club for engineers to the workers in the Gaza City sewage treatment plant, and then moved the trip to the premises of the University of Oma  that were created in the new district headquarters to inform the students on the mechanism of the construction of buildings.
 then trip moved to the area of Shojaeya to visit Nazaz /Riyad Street in order to identify the mechanism of paving roads, and then the trip moved to manufacturers of the Arab Company for Concrete Industries . During the visit, the student learned  how to manufacture concrete and tile industry of Interlock

At the end of the tour, Dr. Nabil Sawalhi has awarded certificate of thanks to the Arab Company for Concrete Industries.

The trip members have their  lunch at Al Shalehat club ​​Gaza Sea. At the end of the trip many of the students has expressed their happiness over the trip and asked for more
